Divine Wedding Decor offer a unique wedding styling, decor hire and bridal floristry service. They specialise in vintage and rustic themed wedding decor and styling, complimented by a relaxed style of floristry. We spoke with Anne, one half of Divine Wedding Decor, about their incredible success over the past year. She also shared some fantastic tips for decorating a wedding.
“Divine Wedding Decor was born after both Sarah and I began planning our own respective wedding days, which were only 4 weeks apart. We spent many hours chatting over coffees about how we wanted our individual styles and tastes to resonate in the decor and styling of our 2 very different wedding venues (Pinterest became our best friend). After much trawling the Internet and calling suppliers, we felt the only way to achieve the looks we both desired was to purchase the centrepieces and props ourselves. When we both came back to Earth after the wedding and honeymoon highs, we wondered if other brides were looking for the same style of decor as we had…. And cue Divine Wedding Decor Rental.”
We were overwhelmed with inquiries and interest in our hire stock so we continued to add to and grow it. Couples then started to enquire about whether we would decorate their church or ceremony venue and set up and style our centrepieces, table plans and props at their venues. When we did this once we were hooked! This is an aspect of our service that we have grown into and absolutely love. Meeting with couples for their initial consultation, building a mood board for them and seeing it all come to life on their big day is an absolute dream!”
Anne and Sarah have both completed floristry courses over the past year and have recently added bridal floristry to their services. They also offer some fun extras, including a beautiful rustic cart (which they use as a candy bar and pop corn bar), personalised sparklers, customised chalkboards and a Polaroid guest book.

Divine Wedding Decor have shared a few tips to keep in mind when styling your own wedding:

     –     Think about the style of your wedding and choose your decor in keeping with that. Your guests will spend a large portion of their day seated at their table so investing in centrepieces to reflect the style of the wedding and personalities of the couple can be money well spent.

–     It is not necessary to purchase decor if you want to put your own stamp on your wedding – think about renting to reduce costs.

–     Use free apps, such as pic collage, to create a mood board for your day so you can see exactly what the finished product will look like.

–     Less is more when it comes to venue styling. A few key elements are much better received than decor overload. Choose a few things that reflect the style and look you want for your wedding day and, above all, have fun with the decor!!!

Divine Wedding Decor have been in business for just over a year now and things it’s going from strength to strength. They have an impressive social media following and do a lot of their promotion via Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat (divinewedding).
