There really are so many things to think about when planning a wedding, aren’t there? Not only are you organising the wedding itself but there are so many small details that require a lot of thought. For example, nails: we all get very particular when we have a wedding on our hands (see what I did there?). The rest of the time, we might just throw on whatever polish is nearby or keep reapplying that one favourite colour. A lot of the time, we don’t paint them at all, let alone have them filed and shaped by a professional. For the wedding day, however, brides meticulously choose the best length, shape and colour to complement the rest of their look.
We would suggest going as natural as you can when it comes to colour. You don’t want a bold and bright nail taking away from your dress or accessories. If you want to add a bit of length to your nails, go ahead but we wouldn’t advise going too long, especially if you’re not used to it. You definitely don’t want to be worrying about snagging them on your dress or fidgeting with them throughout the day.
While the French manicure is still quite popular, nude and pastel nails have undoubtedly become the new favourites! Nude nails are a great option if you want to keep things really simple. They give you a clean, glossy finish and look really elegant. Pastel nails are quite minimal too but they allow you to add a bit more colour. We’ve seen a lot of pink pastel nails recently and they look fab!
The nude nails in the first two pictures above look really pretty. We especially like the hint of mauve in the first one. The pastels in the bottom two pictures are a bit more playful and fun. It completely depends on your style and the theme of your wedding! As you can see, you don’t have to go completely plain either; you can add a bit of subtle (key word!) sparkle if you like. Keeping your nails looking clean and natural is definitely the way to go! Let your carefully-chosen accessories do the talking instead!
