“A wedding invitation landing through your letterbox, once opened, causes thoughts to swiftly turn to the wardrobe and, more importantly, its contents for such an occasion. Many of us receive multiple invites during each wedding season and so are looking to minimise our spend and maximise our re-wears. Thankfully, the days of spending silly money on one statement outfit (and repeating this process multiple times) are now gone, with the high street providing superb options for every style, shape and budget. I have chosen my top 5 from a range of stores, each with accessory and styling details.”
1. Tailored Separated with a Twist
This Alaysia top is a trooper for two reasons. One, the side-tie is supremely flattering on the waist and midsection and two, it allows multiple wears with both pencil skirts and skinny jeans, bringing it from the church, to the dance floor, to the office, the bar….and beyond!
Style 3 ways.

Littlewoods Black lace dress, Dune leopard print heels, New Look drop pearl and gold earrings, New Look gold bag.

4. Lady in Red

This dress is high end with a high street price tag of €115.70. The sheer elegance of a high collar is not to be under-rated, along with the forgiving peplum at the waist to allow for dinner and dancing! Popped with gold and back shoes, gold drop earrings and a gold bag, the rule of 3 is nicely at work in terms of matching all gold accessories to this red number.

Littlewoods red dress, Littlewoods gold and black sandals, New Look earrings and bag.

5. Day Navy is a Style Staple

Navy is the most flattering day neutral (not black as widely thought, this rule only applies at night) so why not take this nugget on board and invest in a navy full-skirt to allow for multi-wears by changing up the top. Here I have it paired with a cream lace number and I’ve popped some detail at the neck with the Betty and Biddy ‘Daryl’ necklace. We have a touch of silver and sparkle on the shoes, which is complimented nicely with a silver bag from New Look.

Amandina skirt, Manon top, Coast navy and sparkle shoes, Betty and Biddy daryl necklace, New Look silver bag.
